This Privacy Policy describes how Nate Templeton ("we," "us," or "our") collects, uses, and shares information in connection with the Ad Accountability Challenge (AAC) program, website, and member platform.

Information We Collect

We collect information you provide directly when you:

  • Join the waitlist, start a free trial, or sign up for a paid membership via our forms or Stripe
  • Submit weekly proof of active ad campaign spend through the AAC Platform
  • Contact us directly via email or our contact form

This may include your name, email address, and payment information (processed securely by Stripe, we do not store your card details).

We also collect information automatically through the Meta Pixel and standard browser technologies when you visit our site. See the Cookies & Tracking Technologies section below for details.

How We Use Your Information

  • To enroll and manage your participation in AAC
  • To track and verify your weekly ad spend and proof submissions
  • To communicate program updates, reminders, and results
  • To measure and improve the performance of our ads, and to build audiences for future advertising
  • To improve the program going forward

Cookies & Tracking Technologies

This site uses the Meta Pixel, a tracking tool from Meta Platforms, Inc. (Facebook/Instagram), to measure ad performance and understand how visitors use our site. The pixel only loads after you accept cookies in our banner, it does not run before that. Once active, it may collect information such as your IP address, browser and device details, pages visited, and actions taken on our site (like starting checkout or submitting a form). This data is shared with Meta and may be used to show you more relevant ads on Facebook and Instagram.

We may also use standard, essential cookies required for the site and member platform to function (such as keeping you logged in to app.jointheaac.com).

For a full breakdown of the cookies and tracking tools we use, and how to opt out, see our Cookie Policy.

Sharing Your Information

We do not sell or rent your personal information. We may share it with:

  • Stripe, for payment processing. See Stripe's Privacy Policy.
  • Meta Platforms, Inc., via the Meta Pixel, for ad measurement and targeting. See Meta's Privacy Policy.
  • Firebase (Google), which powers the AAC member platform authentication and data storage. See Google's Privacy Policy.
  • MailerLite, for email communications and list management. See MailerLite's Privacy Policy.
  • Service providers who assist in operating the program, under confidentiality obligations.

Data Retention

We retain your information for the duration of your participation and for a reasonable period afterward for record-keeping purposes. You may request deletion at any time by contacting us.

Your Rights

You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal data at any time. To do so, email us at the address on our contact page. You can also limit Meta Pixel tracking using your browser settings or Meta's ad preferences, as described in our Cookie Policy.

Children's Privacy

AAC is intended for adults 18 and older. We do not knowingly collect information from minors.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy as the program evolves. Material changes will be communicated to active members by email.
